In the pantheon of Joe mythos, there is one figure that has been shrouded in the most mystery and controversy, and that is the "Pimp Daddy" Destro, as he is commonly referred, from the 1997-98 15th anniversary series. With his pink and leopard print outfit, he was one of the most outlandish figures ever produced by Hasbro. So much so, that the figure was changed to remove the leopard print during production. However, a few prototypes managed to slip out of the factory, and some have even been told to have made it into the packaging (a three pack that included Cobra Commander and the Baroness) Now, for the 25th anniversary series, Hasbro decided to celebrate the legend in all his outlandish glory with a limited edition version of this figure in the 25th anniversary style for the San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) in 2007. This figure could initially only be purchased at the convention, and then later at a few select retailers online. This very limited Gold Head version was produced in even more limited quantities than the silver head version. This figure celebrates the fantastic universe of GI Joe at its most gregarious. If a you are a fan, this will be the highlight of your collection!Read full review
