Third hand Solder Station
The third hand solder station has some good features. Besides the 2 alligator clips there is also a small clamp in the middle. The magnifier is 3” wide and has 10 LED lights to brighten up your work. The downside is that it’s made of plastic. The soldering iron holder touches the edge of the body. I’m going to try and bend the coil to get it off the body. The USB is too short, about 24” long. 48” to 60” cord would be better. You can use 3 AAA batteries to power the LED lights which might be the way to go.

Good value - not for pros
I wish it were heavier, but this unit is a good value for the money - works as advertised. If you're going to be doing a lot of intricate stuff, this may not work, but if you're just looking for (I use it to solder guitar parts) something to hold what you're working on this works fine. Everything is great, but the soldering iron holder is to big for my iron, but it is light weight, and it's not a big deal...
I modified mine after receiving it cause it was light weight, and the soldering iron holder is to big for my iron. The holder might be just right for some but not mine. The weight on the other hand scared me, I was afraid I'd knock it off my work bench, so I took it apart and put some weights in the bottom. No Iron in base, unsteady, unsafe, waste of money and time.
FIrst of all the produce listing says "iron stand", I can assure you they used no metal for weight inside the plastic base, none at all. This leads to the stand tipping over if you so much as bump into the soldering iron's power wire. The poorly designed "iron holder" sits so close to the plastic body that it started to heat and warp, I smelled a burning smell. Couple that with the tendency for this lightweight piece of junk to fall over, and you have a real potential for a fire to start!!!! Hazardous product, please avoid!

Good quality but the design is not good. Magnifying glass has very limited range of adjustment, only up and down, no side to side or rotation. Unit is also very lightweight, so if you have a heavy soldering iron, it will flip on its side because it doesn’t have enough weight to hold it down. LED light is great though. Good Unit But Directions on the Second holder would help

BEWARE, Cheap Plastic! Not heavy enough to even hold a soldering iron! Don't waist your Money!
So the stand is made of cheap plastic. Says it's a soldering iron holder but it's not heavy enough to hold one. Falls right over! Everything about this thing is cheap quality. The magnifier doesn't stay up because when you tighten the arm the screw meant to tighten it bottoms out before it pinches tight. The led lights are probably the only good thing about this. But surley not worth $15! I absolutely do not recommend waisting your hard earned money on this. The price is way too high for the cheap quality. Nothing works as described or as it should.
