Like new, but fragile
As advertized, this system was like new, in fact it seemed to be new, still in the Asian wrapping system. However, the system as it was sold was a faint shadow of the older Radio Shack equipment. In particular, the battery slots are extremely easy to damage and once damaged, almost impossible to repair. Used examples of the same technology are mostly heavily corroded or broken, The system is impossible to use in an environment light by florescent fixtures. The selection of an incompatible frequency spectrum may have been forced by the FCC, but the system is of no use to my organization until we replace the lighting system. If you use the system, be sure to remove the batteries after each use to avoid corrosion.
