Well....... It's easy if you're familiar with the operating system or u.i. If not, it can be difficult. I've had one mycloud home unit before and upgraded to this one so I learned from past. It's fast enough for me, but does take time, or slow, transferring data backup from one source to the nas drive. 21 hrs for a terabyte. I like the Plex app, it works very well and the ex2 ultra is os5 compliant.

First, I am not tech savvy person with average knowledge of tech products. This is my first NAS intent to store my memorable pictures and videos for my family. The product came in on time, and we have no shipment issue. Upon unbox the product, very simple and solid packaging design, it's in perfect condition, and ready to plug-in and get setup. The simple instruction is very intuitive and I have no problem following it to install the HDD, and plug-in. The software setup in my computer is less intuitive, and I have to google, youtube multiple places in order to understand how this work. At this moment, I am still learning how to upload the files in a efficiency way.

This is an older NAS device but it works well. There were some challenges finding a firmware and driver that works with windows10 but after installation, it does exactly what I need in expanding storage and backup capacity. Whether you're looking for redundancy in a raid1 configuration or just lots of disk space in a jbod configuration, this unit was what I needed with features and a price point that works for me.

Was just what I’m looking for to replace my aging Buffalo Terstation. Did a lot of research and the features of this unit are the best that is out there. I no longer need any cloud storage, as this unit backup from all my family devices. Stream movies to all my devices, and is a great NAS backup with raided drives

Outstanding functionality and performance but indicator light for Disk 2 is too dim. Had same issue with a similar WD NAS model. However, that's a very minor inconvenience for a great storage device.

Amazing speed reliability and exactly what I was looking for this device is meant to back everything up to the cloud and keep it there it's accessible outside of your house and inside. The only reason they got four stars is because you cannot select multiple files to download you have to select one file at a time. When selecting images this can be a hassle as you might have to select every image in your library individually.

If you don’t need a lot and just want to store your files this is a great NAS. It is fast enough for what I need and even running Plex server. Very easy to setup and I can access my working files remotely.

SLOW. Overheat problem. Runs electronics and drive TOO HOT. Had to put 2 fans under the box to keep the temperature down to something reasonable.

Excellent performance as basic NAS. Works well as a DLNA server, and an iTunes server. The Plex server is slower than that on a WD MyCloud Home. I use the MyCloud EX2 Ultra as a NAS and a MyCloud Home Duo as a Plex Server.
