  • Junk cable included

Junky 4" non-standard USB cable is included. Mine was defective. Instructions included and on the website are so poor and sparse that it took me several days of troubleshooting and searching for a compatible cable to get my device flashed. Tips for users: YES, the green light on the module should light up when plugged into your USB port. If it doesn't, you have either a defective cable or a defective module. This information is NOWHERE on the website, instructions, or the "help" forum. Second tip is to DISABLE your computer from automatically installing USB drivers when you plug in a new device. [Start, Devices, Right Click Icon for your Computer, Click "Device Installation Settings", Click to select "No, let me choose what to do", "select Never install driver software from Windows update", and then click Save Changes. You can always undo this after you flash your module. This is by far the biggest way people have trouble flashing their device. Third tip: WINDOWS PC is REQUIRED.

  • Gets the job done pretty easily

These units aren't cheap, but pre-programming them at your computer is convenient. No need to fiddle around inside the car with programming it. Installing it was straight forward, and it's very small so fit behind the head unit easily. Hooked up nicely to the aftermarket head unit (Pioneer AVH-X5700BHS) without any issues. The instructions seemed a bit hard to understand after first, but once I was able to access the stock wiring harness on the car, hooking it into the car was easy. Worked the first time perfectly without any troubleshooting.

  • Great product

Easy way of integrating after market radio with your existing steering wheel control by "flashing" the IDataLink SW unit using computer via USB cable that came with it. Just specify the vehicle you have and the type of steering wheel it has and the radio model you bought and voila!!!! Works great!!!! Has to connect longer USB cable to the unit after installing it so I can easily re-flash it without uninstalling the radio if I decided to change the secondary functions of the steering wheel buttons later on.

  • Great product, easy to install

It does what it says on the box. I had done my research and this was the one that required the least splicing and work to get up and running, compared to the Metra and PAC kits. And at the price I paid, it was a great deal!

  • Seamleasly keep your steering wheel audio controls

This product works as advertised. I used this when I upgraded the radio in my 2008 Ford to a Pioneer head unit. All the factory functions (volume, station, source, mute) work flawlessly through the Maestro interface.

  • SW control

I was originally using an axis steering wheel control that would occasionally by itself change channels on my radio. I switched over to the I datalink Mastro and I've had no problem whatsoever. Just be advised that you have to have an Internet connection to program this module to your vehicle and radio before installing it!

  • Internet Explorer?

Very easy set up... aside that you need to use Internet Explorer. Luckily it is buried in Window 10 somewhere...
