Works well on an '87 VW Scirocco
The cruise control vacuum actuator on my 1987 VW Scirocco gave up the ghost - leaked badly. I searched for a new/used VW unit but couldn't find one. This Range Rover unit looked similar and I figured I could adapt it up to the Scirocco. It bolted right up to the VW mounting. I had to modify the linkage from actuator to throttle, but it is now up and working
