The small electric temple pressing comb puts out enough heat to press short hair straight and not burn. A temperature control would have been nice, however, the comb preforms well to get the job done without burning the delicate hair(s), I did a trail run on middle head hair, before using on temple and other short hair to ensure comb would not burn.
