Shredder lube
I just bought a new shredder and saw this lube while shopping and decided to try it. I used it on my new one. My wife has one about 5 years old and I lubed hers also. Don't use too much!
I got this as it was recommended on the Fellowes web site. However, it has no instructions on how much to use. I made one or two passes up and down the paper feed slot and thoroughly coated the rollers in the machine. Oops! The rollers became so slippery they wouldn't pull the paper into the machine. After feeding a few sheets and working them in the machine, it finally cleaned off the rollers and the shredder began to work normally. A note here. The shredders say that you can feed credit cards into them. Don't! And don't feed staples. These items put undo stress on the plastic gear mechanism in the machine and can break them.
