Firman 2000i (W01781) much better value than Honda 2000 inverter generator
Generator FIRMAN W01781 2100i. The specs in several web sites were different (and too good to be true) from those shown in the FIRMAN manufacturer catalog (which are the correct ones). For example, several web sites indicated that it could last 12 hours (at 50% load) with 1 tank of gas (.9 gallon), but the box I received indicated clearly that it could last 9 hours (at 25% load). My experience has been that one tank does last about 9 hours (which is better than the Honda generator, one tank lasts about 6 hours). Regarding the sound or noise, I saw several web sites stating that Firman 2100i was 54 decibels (better than Honda which is about 59 db). However, the Firman generator I received appeared to sound louder than that (even in ECO mode, which is quieter). I decided to check with my cellphone Sound Meter app and it averaged 64 dB (in ECO mode with no load, 21 feet). I would say that it is a little bit noisier than the Honda. The Firman 2100i generator is easy to start. My gasoline cap is very difficult (almost impossible) to screw completely (I do not know if this is a common defect or particular to the one I received). Since the unit does not have a fuel gauge (and difficult to visually see inside the tank when filling with gasoline), it is common to overfill and spill gasoline. I have used every day for several weeks (after Hurricane Maria) and has been reliable. I was able to run my GE 10000 BTU window air conditioner with the generator with no problem, except that it consumed gas too quickly (required gasoline about every 4 hours). I decided to sleep in a smaller room with a 5000 BTU GE window air conditioner and I like it because one gasoline tank in the generator runs the AC for about 9 hours (temperature set at 74 F, or about 8 hours if set at 72F). The generator is not that heavy (less than 50 pounds) and easy to move from one place to another (has handle). The warranty is 3 years. Overall, I am satisfied and would buy it again against the similar Honda generator mainly because it is a much better value (Firman is also good quality but hundreds of dollars cheaper than Honda). Excellent Generator!
This item arrive 4 days ago. So far it’s been very impressive. It is better than I was expecting. I just plug in to the transfer switch and it’s bringing power to all the house. Sure, I can’t use 220 volts equipment but I can run all the other and essential things like the refrigerator, the tv, the fans and everything as far as it is 110 volts. I bought it because I live in Puerto Rico and since hurricane Maria wipe out the electric system, we have to rely pretty much on this portable generators until the system is restored again. This is a very efficient generator. It takes just one galon to fill to the top and nearly one quarter of 10w 30 motor oil. One galon of Gas last overnight like 9 to 10 Hours in economy mode. Also, this is a very silent machine, so it didn’t bother neighbors. About Maintenance, is very easy. The first oil change is at 20 hours an then every 100 hours. At least, this is what the manual tells you to do. Why I recommend to buy this over any Honda or Yamaha? Well, I found that this is better value for the money. It does the same for less money. I don’t mean that the Honda is a bad machine, but is an expensive solution that maybe, I’m the long term will be better. But I decided to give firman a try. I will update this later, so I can tell with better confidence if it resulted well.

Quiet and powerful
I have used it only a couple of times so far, but the generator provides good solid power. It is very quiet in ECO mode and I like that it has a 20amp circuit instead of a 13amp circuit like the similar Honda size generator.
