I bought it for my parents outside US and they needed a big screen to watch movies. The reasons for picking this model are 1. COST (single most important factor ... compromised on the resolution) 2. LED lamp 3. Voltage regulations (220-240V). As compared to non LED lamps, there is no issue of changing the lamp for this model. The manufacturer states 20,000 hrs of lamp life. Tested the following inputs: VGA with laptop, A/V with DVD player, HDMI with upconverting DVD as well as xbox 360. Pros: - Budget - LED lamp - Built in speakers works through HDMI port and have decent sound - Power brick indicates 110~240V input Cons: - Please bear in mind that the native resolution is 640X480 .... downgrades resolution from laptop, or any input device connected. If you are looking for a higher quality image then this is NOT the product!! - Requires some dark room ... just depends on how the light source (background or external) is located and the intensity - Power brick looks and feels a little cheap - All functions works through the remote (if you loose the remote then you are doomed! therefore -2 stars) - Product quality (i.e. the construction material, plastic materials etc) feel very cheap (You get what you pay for :( ) - The cooling fan produces noise (same level of noise as some of the bright lamp projectors). Don't expect this product to be quiet!Read full review

I bought this projector initially as a backup for my Epson 3212. It is much smaller and lighter than most other home theater or presentation units and therefore more portable. I like the easy to use interface and the unit's simple design lots of ways to connect to it. The HD rating might be a bit of a stretch, but the overall picture quality is quite good. The price was right, $169.00 Canadian! The projector bulb is rated for a whopping 20000 hours which is fantastic! However, there are two drawbacks I can see; the lack of a battery which decreases its portability and the fact that it is solely controlled by a small remote so don't lose that! Overall a great investment- a welcome tool for Halloween and Holiday decorating. Would be 5 stars if not for the remote issue mentioned. Would definitely recommend this device!Read full review
For what you are paying, it's a good purchase. For some reason, the top and botom of the image on the screen isn't as focused as the middle, now matter how hard you attempt to adjust it. It has built in speakers which aren't very loud, but with the many inputs it has, I doubt anyone would use that instead of their own stereo or speakers. I've used it for my Apple TV, Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360, MacBook Pro, etc... It supports HDMI but don't expect HD resolution as good as a flatscreen. All in all, It's a nice, modest little convenient projector. I gave it a 4 because there is no 3.75.
Really good projector.. Good image!! If you use VLC to play videos and tweak the settings a little bit, you can get a really clear and bright image !! The only down side is that the fan is kinda loud!! I would recommend this projector to anyone who is on a budget!!
It looks like a toy projector. Pros: It is very small and light (compared with a normal projector). The noise is acceptable, but neither is quiet. For movies and pictures in a very dark place, is fine. If you have an emergency for a presentation, it is acceptable. Cons: Low focus precision, most if it is inclined. The corners turn darker while distance increases. It is impossible to read if you are projecting the pc screen in more than 800x600 resolution. The light is very weak so in a normal office light it is very difficult to see what you are projecting, at least of course, it is an emergency, in which case you should apologize to your audience and ask them for an extra effort. Forget it if you are thinking to use it regularly for business presentation. In conclusion, I expected much more. But it is not entirely useless.Read full review
