In addition to the basic charts, tidal stations, currents, depth contours, IALA symbols and included fishing charts, BlueChart g2 offers improved transitioning between zoom levels and more seamless continuity across chart boundaries. BlueChart g2 also adds safety shading which allows the user to enable contour shading for all depth contours shallower than the user-defined safe depth. Worked with Garmin GPSmap741xs chartplotter
I bought this to update the charts on an older Garmin GPSmap 741xs chartplotter. Garmin tech support wasn't sure it would work because the Chartplotter came with G2 chart,s and this is G3. It did work. Blue Chart Chip For Garmin GPS
I have several Garmin 76cx and 76csx models that I use mostly in the Florida Keys. I like this chip because it shows good detail on the screen and I can use it in any of my Garmins.
