No copyright protection, no thousands of cuts in a second :-)
A few years ago i bought a second hands technics turntable. I bought also a new element for it, a good one. I also bought a not so expensive Phono pre amplifier, so that i can connect it to my 5.1 AV receiver. Result is: Vinyl recods sounds the best compared to all lossy audio codecs available. Sometimes i even think that Vinyl sounds better then lossless formats. So nice stereo audio (yes we got only two ears, so perfect for headphone usage) with no stupid region or drm / copyright protection. So all the freedom to do with it whatever you want. Vinyl recods and good pickup elements rules the audio world for a long time. New digital formats are f*cked up with their stupid regions and digital restrictions management. Only FLAC 24bit audio is a bit like the vinyl experience.
