Super-sturday and easy to install
Like all the RAM products I have had experience with, this is a very solid piece of equipment. As a writer and photographer, I find it very useful to have a solid mount for my laptop in my vehicle and this fits the bill perfectly. Combined with a RAM tele-pole (height adjustable swing arm) and a RAM tough tray, I have a 16-inch laptop solidly mounted. There is a little bit of vibration/shake but its minimal and hasn't been a problem so far. As usual, I'm impressed with the quality of the hardware and how well-considered the kits from RAM are. Pre-assembly is straight-forward, the instructions are clear, and installation just requires loosening the front bolts on the seat rails, sliding the mount under them and slotting it in tightly, and then re-tightening the nuts. Voila! A great product.
