Apparently someone's return, not new.
I received the compressor in an oily box. Advertised as new, but obviously a return since someone had put oil in it and the packing styrofoam was a jumble of broken pieces of the original molded styrofoam stuck in the box randomly to wedge the compressor in place. And, no instructions or maintenance manual! I have not tried it yet because it doesn't match the existing bolt pattern of the compressor head it is replacing. I have got to drill new holes to make it work, which was expected. A little worried about it being a return rather than "new", but that is why I bought Square Trade for it. We will see if it does work as advertised and go from there. Disappointed in the obvious return instead of actually new as advertised.

Great fix for your generic belt drive A/C
This pump will fix your a/c if your pump is bad. My old pump had a rod knocking. It is a generic chinese vertical belt drive a/c-but had a good 1.5hp Emerson motor. Had do redrill pump mounts, reposition motor along rail, add 20.00 worth Lowes fittings, cut copper feed pipe and reposition it. Took bout 1 hour once fittings were assembled. Works great soooo much quieter and looks to be decent made pump. Well worth the money and time. Replacement of my A/c would have been north of 400.00. It works now
Well it pumps up fast but my motor would throw the breaker, so I replaced the motor. Then it would stall the new motor, so I had to replace the motor pulley from 4 1/2" to 3". Now it works just fine.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
