Misleading information not 20 ga wire. These are typical cheap China made cables.
I bought these cables because they were advertised as having 20 GA wire in them which is totally false. I had worked in a music store for over 40 years and I have repaired hundreds of microphone cables. So I know cables. These cables do work fine. That is the good part. At least for a little while. What I don't like is the fact that they are supposed to be made using 20 GA wires which they are not. The wires used in these are more like 26 GA than 20 GA. Why does that make a difference? The smaller the wire used the higher the resistance in the wire and the easier and faster they will break. The shielding on these is also poor. Like the rest of the low-cost China made cables there is also very little strain relief offered by the light-duty connectors on these. As for Fat Hog that is just a name and they are not any fatter than any of the rest of the cables. To sum it up these are just cheap microphone cables that do work but they are a long way from professional cables that use quality parts so don't expect them to hold up like the Professional cables. Last, the price is reasonable but you get what you pay for. I have included a picture of the wire used in these cables beside a guitar cable with a true 20GA wire in it. Please look at how much larger the 20GA wire is. Look closely at the red wire at the connector. You see the copper wire coming out of it with no solder on it that is the actual size of the wire used in these cables. Notice the picture of the connector used on their cables. It shows as only weighing 0.9 oz and the other one is a good quality Switchcraft connector on the right. It shows that it weighs 1.6 oz. That is almost twice as much as their cheap one weighs. Yes don't expect to much from theses cables.

Great value, clean sound on stage.
We're using our Fat Toad xlr cables for light stage performance (no heavy gigging or constant break down/set up). We are connecting Shure SM58a mics into a Behringer 14 channel powered mixer and JBL passive speakers. Great value and great price, no buzz or hiss. These cables are not as sturdy as others that we have used previously, but again, no performance issues thus far and given our performance environment we don't anticipate any. High Quality and Low Cost
Well made microphone cables don't have to be expensive. These are less than $5 each. Are they the absolute best mic cables anywhere? If you define best as highest possible quality, then probably not. But they are more than adequate for most situations. I use them for a listening room open mic in an art gallery with a state of the art sound system. Any problem in the mics, cables, or connections really stands out. I have not had a problem with these cables.
