Not impressed
To be fair, I tried this product out of curiosity for oysters, after reading a book about the industry and history of it. I understand that shipping is more expensive due to the weight of the product so should simply have purchased such (or some very similar brand) at a supermarket. I am not impressed with the sparse amount of oysters in this product, but have not compared it with others, to be honest. Oyster stew ok but way too expensive
Hilton’s oyster stew is one of very few available, way too expensive, I add butter, salt and pepper, has very few oysters in it, I add oysters from a can, I may not purchase again because of the sky high price, not anyway near the old Campbell’s brandVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

I have said enough
I was ripped off. I paid 61 dollars for 6 cans of oyster soup, how can you justify charging 10 dollars a can when you can get a can of soup for no more than 3 dollars a can at the grocery store. This is my favorite stew of all. I cannot find this Hiltons oyster stew anywhere except online. I thought that the company went out of business because years ago there was no problem getting it at the stores. EXPENSIVE, BUT WORTH IT IF YOU LOVE OYSTER STEW
Tastes just like I remember it, but will have to be a VERY OCCASIONAL treat - it is hideously expensive! I stretch it a little by adding a can of whole oysrers with their liquid content, and also about a half a can of milk, although the instructions say it is to be used "as is" right out of the can. I also add a pat of butter while it is heating and then a handful of top-of-the-line oyster crackers. Can't afford to do it often, but it turns an ordinary lunch into a luxurious treat that can be stretched to make two servings.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I love my mom
This is my 2nd order. One of the sides was opened on the box and several cans were damaged. The damaged cans didn't effect the soup. My mother passed away from Covid in Feb.
