Weller EC234 heater for TC201T handle.
Like most of the parts on the TC201 line of soldering handles the EC234 (heater) lasts a long time. When my 30+ year old TC201 handle's heater finally gave up the ghost I built the TC201T version out of other not working TC201T parts that use the new plugin heater (EC234) knowing that it will probably last longer than I will. Yes you can buy a complete Chinese soldering iron cheaper than a complete Weller TC201T handle but will they work as well as a Weller for 30+ years?

Weller replacement heating element.
Original threaded sleeve would not fit, to tight. Outside diameter of heating element just barely to large. However a new replacement sleeve did fit.

Good quality part, but I needed the older version with the straight tube
Unit was OK, the heater resistance measured fine at 12-13 ohms, however I needed the older version of it with the straight tube so my tip retainer shield would not slide over the wider outer half of the tube.

Unit did not fit heating element. Budge towards end of unit is not the same is what I have..Unit I have is a W-TPC soldering station. About 60 Years old. Still works: Unlike the Chinees unit now-a-days. What is shame....
