Fans run very quietly. USB pigtail is a good length. Grilles on one side of fan to keep objects from entering blades. I am using these fans to pull heat away from my home theater receiver in a closed cabinet, with switched power coming from the USB port on my TV. For my purposes, this is a great solution. cooling fans
my application for them is not the standard way to use them. i fastened them to the side of my computer case. the flow of air coming from the exhaust fan in the back was too not enough to be doing the job properly so i added these to the out side to blow air in. i realize that dust is a problem but i think that is a fair trade off as cooling is(air flow) more critical than simple dust particles, which will have some portion of them going out the back exhaust air stream. regardless these two fans have lots of torque and oscillate very effectively.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

They work very well. Glad I bought them. My computer is part of my entertainment center. I bought these to keep the airflow cool in the area were the tower sits. They do just that.
