If you have a difficult location to mount your Sonar -- Ram Mounts are your answer
I have a small Boat with stick Steering -- when I bought a Helix 7 It was a No Brain-er that I needed the Ram mount in the Installation on my Boat , Because the only place the Sonar will Fit is between the Trolling Motor and the Stick Steering... The Ram Mount allows full use of the Control of the Boat and adjustment without loosening the Gimbel screws --- also the Ram Mount allows easy access to plug in the Power and Transducer plugs without Fumbling and dropping things -- The Ram Mount also puts the sonar closer to the Operator of the Boat making the Screen easier to see....Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Ram Mount for Helix 7
Very sturdy mounting system for The Helix 7 and gives you a ton of movement for better daylight viewing of the screen, i should have bought this when i bought the unit itself. Although i think it's too high in price just because the mounting plate is a little bit big than the Helix 5. FYI...The Helix 7 mounting screw holes which holds the unit on to the Ram mounting plate are smaller than the holes made in the Ram's plate, so don't buy bolts that fit the Ram for you'll be drilling out the Helix's mount holes to fit. Get tapered bolts/screws long enough to go through the Helix mount, ram plate, washer and a lock nut. Get it all in stainless so they won't rust together.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
