  • works ok

Official HD AV pack kit/cables are very expensive, so if your on a tight budget these will give you a better picture then composite cables when hooked up to a modern flat screen TV. That being said the old saying you get what you pay for holds true. These cables are thin and the worst part have little or no shielding which can cause some interference. The fix: If your handy with a soldering iron buy a $5 official xbox360 cable and 1 of these and swap the AV plug from this cable to the X360 cable and you now have an affordable much better quality shielded cable.

  • These cords are hit and miss.

These lower end component cables are made very cheap. I have bought 2 now and the first one I got had terrible scan lines and some ghosting of the images. The second one was a lot better. It's started out with the same type of scan lines. Buth after awhile of playing with the cord. I got it to go away. I am happy with my purchase. But if you are willing to spend the extra cash I would defiantly go with either the official xbox cables or maybe the monster brand cables. Pound recently made an HDMI cable for the original xbox. But the supply seemingly ran out before I heard about it.

  • Worked great despite being unknown aftermarket

I chose not to find a used Microsoft HD AV Pack for the OG Xbox. Got 2 of these with one as a backup in case the other was a total dud. Never had to open the other, I've been able to get a clean image via these component cables from my softmodded OG Xbox. My Avermedia video card had no issue picking up the resolution once 720 and 1080 were enabled as well. My cable stretches in a less than typical way when I stream and I've detected no dropouts indicating shorts anywhere. Give these a shot if you're looking to improve the image of your OG Xbox :)

  • Better than expected

For the price and the fact it’s a 3rd party manufacturer I expected to be wasting my money. When I opened the box, the wires seemed to be in good shape like any other set of component wires I’ve seen. I was expecting to hook them up and see interference on the screen, which would be some lines across the screen, that I’ve seen with other 3rd party AV cables on other systems. This was not the case. I had a clear and beautiful HD image. For me this was an excellent purchase

  • Good for the money

This cable most definitely has lower audio quality than one might expect but the picture quality is better than the standard composite cables. If you're low on cash but still want to enjoy your Xbox in HD, this is the way to go. I personally am going to upgrade to the OEM High Definition AV Pack for better audio quality and also to have the ability to route the audio to my speakers using a separate cable. At the very least, these cables will serve as a decent back-up pair for me.

  • Great picture but has some lines.

It is and isn't of good quality. It does give a better picture than the composite cables but it can have lines from time to time. Overall I think it is worth it. Great price!

  • This isn't the kind of cable you pickup at your local electronics store.

It's a dinosaur of a cable set. Local shop just don't stock this sorta kit anymore. At this price you can't beat it. But best of all....The build quality is there to. As for being able to run my first gen X-box as a component signal into my 4K monitor....There a marked improvement in quality of the image. Fun stuff! PS....order shipped fast.

  • Good for the price

These component cables do lack the shielding and insulation of a more expensive cable, but the official cables easily cost a lot more. They do get interference occasionally, due to that. To have the ability to output 720p/1080i for cheap makes these cables a good buy.

  • Not the right cable.

I didn't get the Xbox component cable, it came and said Xbox on the box when I got it, but when I open it instead I got the PS2/PS3 component cable. Waste of time, just save money and get the official ones or monster brand ones.

  • Poor insulation

Cable shielding was poor. Performance was unusable. I had to stop playing after 10 minutes due to the headache it caused. I usually buy cheap cables and never have issues but these were the exception.
