This splitter has a better design for my installation. My old line splitter was rigidly plugged into a wall-mounted phone jack. An accidental tug on a phone line caused the splitter to pry against the jack and cracked the delicate connector inside the jack cover. I replaced the jack cover and now use this new splitter. Its mouse-tail connection eliminates the stress on the wall jack.
