In my opinion, the Xbox 360 controller is easily one of the top 5 best video game controllers ever created. While the actual shape of the d-pad leaves something to be desired, it is still solid at 2D gameplay and and excellent at 3d gaming. My controller of choice is the Modern Warfare 3 Xbox 360 controller because of it's better shaped transforming d-pad paired with the regularly colored ABXY buttons as opposed to the Silver controller. That one had the better d-pad but the ABXY buttons were all silver and many games use color coding ties to those buttons. The one problem I have is it doesn't have any way to connect to my PC. I am doing a lot more PC gaming now thanks to a beefy XFX AMD Radeon HD 7850 I got last summer and finally finishing my backlog of 360 games. I'd often look for one of those 360 USB dongles but they were almost all cheap knock-offs that buyers would say were messing up a lot or dead on arrival. Eventually, I decided to just look for a wired controller instead. I tried to find official wired controllers but, once again, just found knock-offs and the only physical store near where I live that sold them were charging around $50 for them. Now I'm looking at 3rd party options. Mad Catz has been hit or miss with me, modded controllers were too pricey, and the FPS-oriented controllers all had those PlayStation style 4 button d-pads that I hate. Eventually, I stumbled on this. It looked good enough, it was the right size, it uses USB, and it was relatively cheap so I decided to roll the dice. *Insert winning at Craps analogy here(never played it before).* This is based on a week's use on the 360 and PC. Games played were Titanfall, GTA V, Ikaruga, Hawken, Vindictus, Metal Gear Rising, Skullgirls, and Embodiment of Scarlet Devil. This is, by far, the BEST 3rd party controller I've ever used when compared to the original controller. It's slightly more comfortable to hold in the hand since the weight and bulk of the battery pack and transmitter has been eliminated due to the USB interface. The back of the Rock Candy controller is the same smooth plastic that makes up the front so the back feels different to the original's textured back. The buttons and triggers are just as responsive as the original. The placement of the Start and Back buttons will take less than an hour, at the most, to get used to. The rumble motors don't feel as powerful as the original but most players likely won't notice. The shape of the d-pad is the same but it feels more responsive and precise than the original. There are two shortcomings that, while it won't stop me from giving the controller 5 stars, still must be addressed. The tops of the analog sticks are plastic. On the originals, the sticks have molded rubber in order to increase grip. If it bothers you too much, replacement sticks are available on eBay. The only other issue is that it will not work with the ChatPad. If you're going to enter text or surf the net on the 360, use the Smartglass app or a USB keyboard.Read full review
Controller looks nice. Upon taking close inspection it looks like it been open up or just wore out. The controller has two bad spots on wire and the left trigger and bumper doesn't work. Happy to have it, just really disappointed in the product.

Being an officially licensed Xbox 360 controller, it has high quality construction, aesthetics, and buttons, dpad, and joysticks. This controller feels great to game on and is the triggers and joysticks are very precise and great for racing games. I use my controller for my pc and I am able to play Forza 7 and Horizon 3 and control the cars very precisely. This controller is a great value and the Xbox One version is also worth it. Buy the 360 ones new while you still can.

I bought a lot of 7 that had 6 perfectly working controllers in it....needed a controller for PC and found out 360 controllers work even if they show up as Xbox ONE controllers in game settings 3 of the controllers were almost new

Worked perfectly for about a week, started to drop button inputs, and then the sticks and dpad practically stopped working too. Clearly not tested enough, could just be old though. Will look for a sealed version of this controller model from now on.
