    Brother Power Source

    Brother is a reliable brand. The product is made to exacting specifications. There are many clones, but they cut corners and there may be problems with the power actually supplied. The usual problem is that the wire from the transformer to the plug in is lighter or thinner than on the original Brother product. This has caused problems for me in the past. So I stick to the original Brother made power supplies.

    Make sure that you go with Brother brand name adapters to go with Brother products.

    I tried using a generic adapter from Radioshack. The voltage and polarity were OK, but the label maker wouldn't operate on the amperage it produced. I found that if you do an ebay or google search for this adapter, you mostly get generic adapters, none of which provided the 1.6 amps (1600 mAH) that the label maker needs. Most generic adapters I found only provided about 1.0 amps when I looked at them carefully. It's definitely better to shop around and get the Brother adapter so that the Brother P-Touch (PT-D210) label maker works properly. This adapter performs as advertised and intended.

    Original/Genuine Brother AD-24ES-US Power Supply

    Don't take a chance on a cheap, generic, low-output knock-offs. This AD-24ES-US power supply is a quality product. Works fantastic on our Brother P-Touch PT-1830 Labeling System. It's small, and fits nicely inside the Brother Hard Case (optional) with mega-room to spare, even with 4 spare tapes and the instruction manual(s) stored inside. Not only that, but the charger cord is hideously long - goes halfway across the room. Spec sheet says the cord is 5 ft long, but ours actually measures 6 ft 3 in long. Highly recommended!

    Great OEM Adapter

    The product is the OEM for my label maker - it takes out the guess work about if the aftermarket adapter will work and last as long as the OEM unit without damaging it. Although a tad bit expensive, it arrived quickly and works as well as the old one did (cats chewed the cord of the old one). I would order again if it becomes necessary.

    A Genuine Brother Power Adapter

    This adapter is a genuine Brother accessory made for my Brother label printer. I found many sites selling a supposed equivalent power adapter, but most of them had lower output current which may have affected performance. Also, this adapter plugs unto the electrical outlet horizontally, which is less likely to interfere and prevent another plug from being inserted at the same time.
