  • Amazing print quality!

I researched thoroughly before deciding to buy this printer for a home based business focusing on greeting cards and I am not disappointed! The set up was easy and quick. I also researched paper and can say my homework paid off as the glossy photo paper that came with this printer and the one I researched (Epson double sided premium presentation paper) has been fabulous and more than I could have hoped for! In fact, I will never have to pay to have a photo printed again at a retail location as I now have the ability to print them myself and they are fantastic! The only other remark I will make is that this is a heavy printer and takes up a good bit of space but all well worth it for the results I needed and received!

  • Easy setup with excellent resolution

I bought this printer to primarily reproduce 8" x 10" limited edition prints of my artwork. I use Inkpress linen matte paper for most of my prints and the printer settings have various paper settings to accommodate different papers. Once the correct setting is selected for the proper paper the results are superb. The setup was easy with the included software. I did experience one small glitch while setting the printer up which resulted in doing the printer head alignment after the software installation, which I found quickly under printer settings/maintenance. This printer does an excellent job of printing digital photos without downloading additional drivers or calibrating. It is about time a printer out of the box is capable of this. I highly recommend this printer for photo and artwork printing. Canon has done a great job, it is a high quality printer - two thumbs up.

  • Fits my needs!

This printer is what I wanted for some of my larger paper crafting and stationary projects. It can print pages large enough to fill my Silhouette Machine Cutter 12" mat. The software is easily managed through my computer. I have done a deep cleaning and automatic printer head alignment with ease. What I especially like is its ability to pull 120lb cardstock through and it prints beautifully on it. I need heavier cardstock for some of my projects and the 120lb would solidly jam my older home use home use grade canon pixma (920?) that did not have a rear feed tray. This is a professional grade printer that handles my 120lb cardstock with no issues whatsoever. I have not tried using heavier cardstock than 120lb, so you will need to do more research on this printer if you need one that can handle anything heavier. 120lb cardstock is great if you are a card maker and want to print a sturdy, professional grade product, such as wedding invitations. This printer will get the job done! This printer uses 8 cartridges and I am getting prints that match much closer to the colors shown on my computer screen than I was with my old printer. I'm still keeping my older printer for copying and scanning, as the pixma pro does not have these functions to my knowledge. I am very pleased with the print quality. Do keep in mind that your choice of paper and its specific qualities will also affect the finished printed image quality.

  • Great Printer

The Canon PIXMA PRO-100 is a awesome machine. I have worked with many different printers and this is one of the best. It is big so you will need to have a nice size area for it. The setup process took a little time but, was easy to follow. The print quality is awesome, and I tried a few different paper types (Office Max Inkjet, HP Inkjet and the Canon Inkjet papers) they all worked very well. It prints fast and is easy to use. The print software is also very user friendly. I have a design firm so we use it for an array if different projects. I'm very please with this machine!!! Gary

Set up was simple and the software provided works great for my needs. I was sending my prints in at eight bucks a pop plus shipping so it will pay for itself quickly with perfect 13 x 19 prints that i can now adjust myself without re sending and waiting and hoping so am I pleased- You know it !! Ink replacement is easy letting you know ahead of time so no more delays and that puts money in your pocket. What more could you want ?

  • Look No Further

I have had this printer for a month now and it has performed beyond expectations. Purposes include printing scanned original artwork onto heavy archival quality art paper and card stock. Without using the back feeder, I have been able to easily print 110lb cardstock with just the top feed. BW illustration prints are flawless - the black is deep, velvety and uniform, even in large areas. Printer arrived in perfect condition. Easy set up and easy to integrate with home wireless network, though I had to shut the printer off and then on again a couple of times to have the wireless function start working. After that, no problems at all. Great price for such a great printer. Also, very quiet!

  • Great for high quality large prints, Kudos to Canon Pro-100

Very happy. Takes time to learn it. No printer can display the same quality/resolution/tonal range of a 36 or 45 megapixel original image. Well worth getting/using. Highly recommended as upgrade to a photo quality color printer with a max. 13"x19" paper size. Uses photo dyes instead of typical inks that do not properly represent the colors and gray scale of good photos.

  • Fantastic Dedicated Photo Printer

My wife has taken up photography for her newest hobby. We printed a few of her prints on our HP that we love as a daily printer, but it seemed to miss some of the color hues on some bright shots. I read a bit from photography sites and this printer was very highly rated and didn't break the bank. Actually the price is REALLY low for such a focused printer. She printed the same prints from this new Canon and WOW.....they're framed and on the wall. GREAT printer and a great price.

  • Excellent Printer for the Value

In the past few years I have used other printers, the biggest reason I switched to this particular model was the fact the print head can be replaced. Other printers I owned, since 2011- 2013, after they reached a certain life span of printing, that was it. I went through 3 printers during that time period. This printer is a wide format printer and can handle A3+ size paper. I purchased this so I can market my own GGI/Photography work. It has excellent print tones and has 8 individual cartridges. It has 2 rear feeding places to feed the paper/media. One for heavy specialty paper and regular photo style paper.

  • Nothing better for the price

As a photo printer, it does an excellent job both color and B/W. Ink cartridges are still over 90 percent full, even after setup and several trial prints. For the best results use quality Photo paper. Heavy printing stock seems to be No problem from the rear feeder slot, just make sure you have the right side up or use two sided stock. Network connection was very easy, according to instructions, and took about five minutes of the setup time of around thirty minutes total after unboxing. Operation is very quiet and no vibrations at all, it sits about two feet from my left ear. This is not a production or speedy printer, a good 8 by10 print takes two to three minutes after it is sent to the printer. Larger formats I would expect four to five minutes. A small 5 x 7 will print in about a minute. These timed are average and results, time wise depends on density and color saturation as well as quality of photo paper being used. Salon quality prints can be obtained with the best paper and software combined. Better quality prints will take a printer costing two to three times as much.
