Poor Support From Manufacturer
Not recommended for use in the United States. Does not have Western Satellites, and cannot set correct Longitude or Latitude for the United States. No response from manufacturer when I inquired about updates or software to create my own satellite lists. You have to manually do it 1 at a time using the keys on the meter, very time consuming. But watch out for this......
There are 2 versions of this Satfinder WS6906 Satlink Tester and the Firmware of the first version doesn't work on the newer WS6906 device. After an upgrade your newer Satlink model will be Locked always without recieving any Scan signal nomore! Therefore it is very important to make a Backup First before doing anything else! This is not written correctly in the Manual/Guide at all. The Upgrade menu doesn't work either. Any Upgrade automatically starts after Switching the device on. And if your pc menu wasn't set on 'Backup' first but instead on 'Upgrade' you'll loose all your programmed Satellite data instandly ! So set your PC Firmware update program on 'DataDump'/Backup Data First!! Since there is no Firmware on-line Backup to be found for the newer version! And it seems that Satlink has stopped this model and any Upgrades for it too !!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
