Great for car/race videos
Worked very well on a recent trip to Laguna Seca Raceway. I used it on a GoPro suction mount on the roof of my car. It breaks up the videos into ~7minute chunks, but it is really a convenient camera to use, with a very wide angle view... Olympus Stylus Tough TG-Tracker
The Olympus Stylus TG-Tracker lives up tp its "tough" description. A capable product, its main drawbacks result from the tiny control buttons located along the top of the camera. They require being depressed in a strong, firm manner--something that is somewhat difficult, especially when quick action is desired. Another drawback is the tiny fold-out viewing screen that may be especially difficult to view while using the camera underwater. The control buttons connect to various menus that need to be accessed through scrolling, which can be time-consuming and confusing. To its credit the camera boasts a bright, stay-on lamp, rather than a flash unit. On the downside, the lamp will only stay lit for about one minute, no doubt to conserve battery power. Picture quality is decent, but expect that all shots will be at an extremely wide angle, causing strong curvature distortion. For a less wide angle effect remove the bulbous lens protector, and replace it with the rectangular lens protector for underwater photography. This protector is perfectly suitable for on-land picture-taking, as well. There are no true manual controls. Exposure is set by the camera, and due to its extreme wide angle lens, everything from near to far is in focus. This is a camera that should provide more than satisfactory results for action/underwater enthusiasts, and, although capable of taking still shots, is much more adept for making videos.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Awesome Outfoor Activity Camera

Not only does it take great video (with the underwater lens protector not the "fish eye" one), it tracks all kinds of great metrics too. Light weight, compact, waterproof action cam.
This action cam is actually better than I thought it would be. It’s easy to use, light weight, compact and durable. You can adjust the width of the wide angle but understand that there is no zoom. I like to hold it out my car sunroof or window when I drive sometimes and it does a really good job recording scenery as I drive by. The wide angle setting captures everything. It doesn’t seem to do very well when I hold it while walking. But I use a cane and walk rough. Maybe I should where it on a head band. It’s water proof too, up to about 60 ft and records a GPS log and you can use the GPS visually. Definitely an excellent action cam for the price! The only othe action cam I considered was the Sony but it was twice the price. I’m on a budget so I bought mine used but it looks and works like new. No regrets!
