In replacing my 20-year-old elchim, I was encouraged by a hairstylist friend to go with the carrera pro. It has a comfortable weight and high-enough heat for big hair, and is easy to hold and maneuver. Love but it should not short out..
I love my Babyliss hair dryer. It is lightweight and very powerful. I had to get a new one because my old one that I had only had about 2 years shorted out at the base of the cord.
