Aquaclear 70
I was using a aquaclear 20 to filter my 20gl high, and it just wasn't getting the job done. So I decided to go up in models, and choose the aquaclear 70 over the 30 or 50 models. Boy was that a decision I'll never regret. It's doing exactly what I thought my aquaclear 20 was going to do, but the aquaclear 20 just wasn't capable to handle a 20gl tank. They rated it for a 20gl tank, but it's more suited for a much smaller tank. Mind you I just had it running on a empty tank, no inhabitants and it was still struggling to maintain the tank. The aquaclear 70 is bigger and moving much more water than the aquaclear 20, so now I'm pleased with the results. I'v been using aquaclear for use, and I'm a devoted customer. A Great Filter
I have used various brands of over the back filters and this is by far, the best. It does a great job keeping the water clean and it's easy to maintain. Works great, affordable supplies, quiet!
My Goldfish tank had cloudy water since pretty much ever. I had one of those cartridge media type filters but it wasn't designed to be efficient enough to remove the amount of debris the Goldfish were putting out. And the pump motor rattled all the time! Annoying! This unit is designed so the filter media fits tightly into the base. Minimal bypass. Easy to service in the future, and replacement media appears to be affordable. In 2 weeks my water is sparkling. I had forgotten how good it looked. I had forgotten about the background scenery I put on the back of the tank, it had been so long since I had seen it, LOL!! The only real Power Filter
I have been using the AquaClear system since long before Fluval or Hagen ever bought them out and would not consider any other brand power filter. the other so called filters are appealing because they are easy to replace the filter media but in reality they are no good for your fish. First of all you would have to change the filter media every week in order to keep your water clean and then with only a tablespoon full of Activated carbon it is not enough to filter a gallon of water. with the AquaClear you get a real foam filter sponge that has the capacity to hold a months worth of debris and a full cup of Activated Carbon to keep your water crystal clear for weeks and with the Bio Max biological filtration your parameters will stay stable.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great deal for a great filter
The only reason that I can't give it 5 stars is because the manufacturer doesn't bag the ceramic media for the filter. So when it arrived its sand and dust had scratched the filter all over. It's was so scratched I honestly thought it was used before I realized it was from the debris from the media bouncing around and scratching the plastic.
