Love it!
I have used several different heaters in my 75 gallon tank and this Eheim 250W is by far the best one ever! Recently, while cleaning my tank, I forgot to unplug my previous heater, ultimately damaging the thermostat. During my research to replace it with one that had a safeguard against out-of-water hazzards, I saw some great reviews on the Eheim, plus the reasonable price and subsequently purchased this one. Not only does it shutoff when the water level is low, it also has a built-in temperature calibrator. I did purchase a slightly more powerful heater than is needed for my tank but I prefer a heater that doesn't have to work so hard to do its job. Why settle for less than the best?
I already had one, so the choice was only who had the best price. You can depend on good service. The cord is long and thick, and the pilot light is easily visible.
