    OK But Didn't Work Out as Expected

    I actually bought this hoping to use it to wrap my old rent house metal a/c ducts which have disintegrating insulation. The problem is I have to split the insulation to get it over the pipe (or disconnect one end of the old pipe) to get it on. When I split the outer cover of this new duct, I find so far that the insulation is not one long piece--it's short chunks and it is not attached to the outer jacket, so it just kind of falls apart. The old ducts have numerus leaks which I have patched over the years so I have decided to have the whole system replaced. My own house has metal ducts in better shape so I decided to use it here to beef up the insulation and just work a little at a time. Seems to be good stuff at a good price, just didn't work out very well for what I wanted.
