THEY REALLY WORK!!
I was hesitate to order this type of bug killer....but after reading other reviews decided maybe i would try it. The cartridges and pads can be expensive if you are outside a lot.....this is not my case. I will be using them minimally but I have noticed while working on my deck....that the bugs were not after me...but followed the fumes for a few seconds then dispersed in the yard. I don't know what these little bugs are that comes at a time in the fall....in groves...but they were right above my head before I started working....then I lit the lantern and they followed the fumes for a few seconds then went to another part of the yard. Great for mosquitos also......I like this so far. Thermacell Refill Value Pack 48 Hour
I received a Thermacell Mosquito Repellent device for Christmas and up until then I did not know they existed. My new Thermacell came with one butane cartridge and three insect repellent mats. In the South we have mosquitoes year round and I work outside most of the time so I really need to protect myself. I quickly burned through the first butane cartridge and three insect repellent mats and I needed more right away. I ordered a refill pack on 12/27/15 and it arrived 12/31/15. I have been testing my new Thermacell for a little over a week now and I can say with all confidence this product works as advertised. I was researching the cost of refills and found that the best price was on eBay. I paid under $16.00 (free shipping,too) for the 48 hour refill pack and it was the best price I could find. If you need protection from mosquitoes then treat yourself to a Thermacell and pick up some extra refills while you're at it. The best part is that if you do just a little searching on the net you will find that the butane cartridge and insect repellent mats are refillable/rechargeable for just pennies on the dollar. I will still order the four pack refill so I can keep butane & mats at home and work but I will also refill as I go to save even more. A great way to take back your backyard
This product works great .we have and outdoor living area and this time of year it gets very buggy in Fl. Especially by the pool . We love to sit out by the pool and listen to music and i have torches with citronella andva bug light. But those do not work loke this Thermacell. ...fantastic. the only thing to remember is to time the inserts..4 hours each and make sure you give it time to warm up about 10 minutes... i got the lamp version fantastic i give it a recommendation. Thermacell really works
Nothing i have ever tried works as well as this product. I live in Georgia and I am a mosquito magnet. They ruin my summer. I don't like putting chemicals on my skin and they only have limited success. They mostly keep me from being bitten but mosquito still swarm around me. As long as I have my Thermacell on and attached to my belt, I am mosquito free. They don't come within two feet of me. The butane cell last for many hours and the pads are really inexpensive. This product if terrific. The only improvement I would suggest is to improve the clip. Thermacella saved me
Thermacell is marvelous.. I read reviews about deep woods hunters not being attacked by mosquitoes.. And it actually changed my nightmare into a pleasant dream......mosquitoes thought I was an open buffet...only me..I would have to wear two sets of clothes with the second saturated in repellent. Even with Deets they were always eating me..I'd wrap in a white bed sheet by the fire...now come 5pm I bring out my lantern ..plug in the butane ..a fresh pad ..very easy to do...light it up ..in a short time ..nothing cones near me...no odor..just freedom..Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Mosquitos bug you?
I take this device turkey hunting, fishing or when we mow the lawn. The Thermacell does a good job at keeping the mosquitoes and flies away. I only wish I had gotten one much earlier! The only downside is they are a bit expensive but with mosquito borne illnesses out there, I think it worth the cost. When the wife mows the lawn, this device is on and with her. Great product and great bargain
I bought one of these sets because I'm allergic to mosquito's. It really keeps them away from me. The only reason I gave it a 4 star rating is because one of mats only lasted for 3 hrs instead of 4 hrs and at the time I noticed it was empty I had to go back home. If you hunt in warm weather the ThermaCell is a gift from above. When I get into my blind and start my ThermaCell (this is the very first thing I do), I can watch the mosquitos fly out the window. They get out like right now. It is the best accessary you can get for keep the bugs away! Two of these four pack refills will last me all season long. Works great, but costly.
I think this is a great product, but it costs about a dollar an hour to run if you don't get a deal like this on disposable supplies. I have yet to get a full 4 hours out of any of the pads. I use them in one of their patio units, but the technology is the same as they're portable units. We will continue to use this product because it is the only one we've found that really controls the mosquitoes effectively.
