Love Love Love This Little Reel
Preparing for another Brazil peacock bass trip, I ordered a few 6'8" medium spinning rods for something to complement the heavier tackle we always take. Of course no self respecting tackle junkie can have too many extra rods without reels to match, so I ordered the Stradic CI4 2500 to pair up with a G Loomis IMX. I got the 4000 size when they first came out and use it mostly for salt water here in South Florida and it's been flawless. The rods arrived a few days before the reel leaving a Quantum Smoke 2500 spinner to test out the Loomis with. It's a nice little reel, my only complaint is that even flipping the bail by hand and watching not to put slack on the spool you still get loop tangles about every 20 casts or so no matter which rod it's on. Well, the Stradic arrived and it went on the 6'8" Loomis. Wow! What a combo, perfectly balanced. After several hundred casts, not one tangle (same 30# braid as the Smoke) and a lot better distance. Bottom line is, if you're shopping for a spinning reel just get the Stradic. All those 5 star reviews aren't lying.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Expensive yet excellent quality product!
Excellent product. Composite finish is bullet proof. Line Roller bearing goes bad in salt first then handle after lots of use. Drag pads are made of cotton totally dissolve fast. CI4+ Shimano
I have used Shimano Stradic for over 25 years. This is my second CI 4. This reel casts further than any reel I have seen. I typically cast longer than anyone in the boat.
