Smooth, with a low prise. But a hohum reel.
Price, is the thing for this reel. There are better reels for just a little more money. The right side is heavy compaired to some other reels on the market. This makes the reel clumsey. Also the amount of drag at the strike position is at the low end of what most fisherman look for today.
