Little more $ spent rather than 499$
Hands down a better looking console. Maybe not the shape, but perhaps the color green added in to the top duct? I personally paid a little more $ than 499$. Totally fine because I was selfishly wanting it, and obtained it. So you can say I got my monies worth. I love the air ducts on 3 side of the unit. That left me with the plain empty side to use for mounting on the wall with a mount from @HIDEit The amount of time it takes too cold boot the console from a (Full Shutdown) is substantial. It literally loads up in about 10 seconds give or take. Doesn’t sound like much right? I forgot too mention I have the environmental energy saving power mode on. So yes, I choose to not use the instant on. So amazingly enough cold boot + energy saving mode = about 10 secs give or take. I find that great. The way the controller feels is defiantly a better one. It feels extremely well in my hands. It has these little tiny circular dot grips on the controller along the back, sides, and bumpers. Feels great. The Bluetooth connection or in other words the wireless controller connection is way better than the previous Gen. I mean I can honestly say it’s pretty much an upgraded version of the Xbox one X. But much faster, and quieter, and looks better. Can’t stress the energy saving mode speed any more. Superb!Read full review

The Series X is GREAT
Love the Series X, the load times are fantastic and mind blowing how fast it is and I love the quick resume feature and the Graphics are great in 4k as well. I heard the rumors how fast and powerful it was but seeing it for myself takes it to a whole new level. I paid a little more than what the retail value was but to get my hands on the Series X before 2021 was worth it in some ways. Love the Series X

Review on consoles nobody talks about
My console first day after updates and 5 hrs straight playing cod it got to 170f degrees on blower and on disc insert 135-145f degrees. Let’s dig in to review nobody tells truth about. Bad design but it’s actually good if you put 2 cut 4” 2x4 blocks under it positioned under round stand. This adds more vacuum to cooler underneath. The storage isn’t big enough and you’ll need unlimited data cap to reinstall games over n over. This system has a stereo adapter issue currently to where can’t mute or volume control and if you plug in remote way it has no sound. I heard good n bad on it but speed you’ll love it on some games you’ll see huge load difference. So this should help you decide how bad you want one. Ps5 has heat issues to.

Marketing hype doesn't quite match reality.
Microsoft did a great job marketing this product. Premium price, sold out pre-sale last fall and hard to find one in the stores today. Scarcity breeds desire and you don't care so much what you have to pay to get one. Seems to be working for MS. I only play Destiny 2 and Halo, and will occasionally pop in a DVD using their Blue Ray Player, or a CD using Groove. So far, I don't see any "quantum" leap in graphics or sound that would justify the price. I have a new LG 4K HDR+, Dolby Vision TV paired with a HK Samsung 9000 sound bar, so it isn't my gear holding me back. . . There is much faster access to cloud based games when logging in, and I have yet to be booted out due to connectivity issues. That could just be upgraded servers, not the console itself.. Set up was a breeze and accessing my old Xbox 1 data was seamless. Nice feature. A few clicks and your up and running Maybe as more games come out that are designed specifically for this console it'll knock my socks off, but for now its pretty good,, but just not equal to the hype.. Fast loading
It came fast and it was packaged so tightly. Great graphics. Very fast speeds only down side is losing the feature to have your cable through the Xbox X series. Hopefully they come up with a one guide later on.
