One pedal that does it all!
The Valeton GP-100 is comparable in price and features to the NuX MG-300. However, in addition to electric guitar presets, the GP-100 also includes presets, amps and cabs for bass and acoustic guitar. This is a great feature that is not part of the NuX MG-300. The Valeton GP-100 is the one pedal that does it all for electric, acoustic or bass guitar. While the NuX only has 36 user presets, the GP-100 has 99 user presets. The housing of the GP-100 is metal. The NuX is plastic. Other features of the GP-100 include the ability to move the individual pedals and amps around in the chain, and to change the foot switches to stomp box mode. According to forums I’ve read, many guitar players prefer the sound of the NuX, but I personally think it is missing way too many of the other great features found in the GP-100. Since they basically sell for the same price, I believe the GP-100 is the better deal and I’m glad I bought it; especially since I got it for $50 less than it normally sells for.
