If You Like To Cook!!!!
If you like to cook this is the fryer for you. In fact I just used it last night; my family and I love fish but we don't like the fish smell in the house after cooking fish. No problem with the Bayou Classic 4-Gal, fryer; just set-up outside the garage door and start cooking. Well I say garage door but it's my Man Cave!!! Cooks fast and clean, no grease going all over the place and it cooks all kinds of fried foods with ease. I'm thinking about buying another one to cook more food faster, oh clean up is an breeze. Nice size for camping trips or a quick fish fry.
Great deep fryer. Grease heats up fairly quick. We use it on camping trips due to its compact size. Used it for a fish fry for 10-15 people. Deep fryer
It is a great cooker and I am very happy with it. It is not small enough to carry in a motor home but i didn’t get it for that. Cleaning it is easy after you take care of the oil, witch is not a problem to put in your container because of the spout on the bottom of the fryer. So, it is easy to store when not in use although it won’t fit in most cabinets if you have space, and I don’t have a problem cleaning out side after I drain it. "Nice easy to use cooker"
Very nice cooker, on initial use the flame was barely coming out of the hose. I had to take the regulator off my old cooker and put on this cooker to cook with. The regulator is a piece of China junk with a nice braided hose. It is for looks only I guess. Not sure how to get the regulator replaced on this brand new unit. Great frier... Get's the job done!
This cooker does everything well, however it has one manufacturing flaw that needs to be addressed. The pipe for the drain valve has no tapering and therefore will not seal properly. You can get it to quit leaking, but it takes some effort... Easy fix... Taper the threads of the pipe so it properly fits brass valve supplied.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This thing is great addition, no messing around and was great for the holiday weekend. Only thing is getting accessories from Bayou was a joke and still is but I'm sure they will come in one day. Cool cooker
I am very satisfied with the fish fryer. When frying you can check the temperature, but you don't have to baby sit it. When putting on the temperature gauge, make sure to use a backup wrench to install (don't hold the face of the gauge) or the temperature gauge will not be accurate. The manufacturer needs to make the gauge, where this does not occur, after all this is the most important part on the fryer. It takes a 35lb. container of oil.( 4 gals). Even with this small problem, I'm impressed with this fryer. If you have been putting off buying a nice fryer don't wait, spend the money because we aren't getting any younger.
