Be careful to always check one's motherboard/ PC specs to ensure RAM one is purchasing is compatible. This old PC for example only uses non-ECC / unbuffered RAM, has two slots, and each slot can only handle 4GB. The doubling of RAM, from 2 to 4 total, brought my parent's old PC new life. Tested with multiple browsers open, and multiple tabs open within Chrome (which famously eats RAM), Outlook, and Word documents open....no more lag issues. PC seems never to need more than 1.5GB RAM...except of course during the few seconds a new program is opened. RAM use spikes..then settles very fast. If you haven't already yourself, or for a loved one/older parents, be sure to check ALL that settings in Windows 10 to ensure best performance...example Settings privacy background apps.....turn it ALL off. I won't go into a rant about Windows spying, aka Telemetry. But, suggest installing, as I did, Spybot Anti-Beacon.Read full review

Works great in my Dell Optiplex 780 Tower. No issues. Just as good as Crucial brand.

Much like an old air-cooled VW Beetle, 2gb DDR3 RAM just chugs along. This was used in a computer build for needy Autistic children - it works, it's reliable, as they won't be playing Battlefield 1 on this computer, it'll do everything ELSE that's required of it. If you're building a "beater box," you can't go wrong with the ol' reliable!
