Great way to breathe some new life into an old 2006 Mac Pro.
I have an original Apple Intel Mac Pro from 2006. I decided I was going to breath some new life into it by maxing out all of the parts I could manage. Unfortunately the particular Mac Pro I own is known for being very problematic with what type of ram it accepts. Luckily I researched endlessly and double and triple checked and found that 240-pin DDR2-667 667MHz (PC2-5300F) with ECC was the only ram that works. I made the purchase and ran diagnostics for a day and I'm happy to say I have my 2006 Mac Pro filled up with 32gb of ram, (4gb stick in each 8 slots).
