slightly fast running out..
The reason why I gave 4 stars to this item is that this one is running out slightly faster than the original Sony battery. As it said, this one has more capacity than the original one, so that I believed this one lasts longer than the original one. However, it is quite distinct that the voltage drops faster than the original. I'm using A7. After fully charging it (100%), you can easily see that about 4-5% of the battery power is gone with just a few shots, when you're using the live view in the back of the camera.

Genuine Sony battery works perfectly.
Genuine Sony battery for my camera for a spare. Charged it after I received it and, although its not in my camera yet, its still at 100% charge. Tried a generic type battery first and was out of tolerance where I had to add tape to the sides of the battery to enable it to fit my Sony charger. Prices have really come down on the Sony, so stick with the brand name.

It works as expected....BUT...
This is my 2nd wall charger. I bought this one because it's revised from the 1st one, a Vivitar, which looks similar, but has two protruding prongs which secures the battery. These prongs are easily broken if not packed properly. This new one is more compact. BUT... there are other differences. Slide off the battery plate, and the older charger has 3 contacts, whereas this one only has 2 contacts. Also, after charging one older battery that came with my first charger, it seemed to have 'damaged' the battery's contacts, spreading them or pushing them into the battery. The battery wouldn't work in the camera. Not sure if it's a physical issue or an electrical issue (the battery protection circuit tripped.) This battery is now permanently affected. It doesn't charge properly either in the camera (a6000) or in the first charger. Must fiddle around with the battery in order to get it charged 100%. Will need to see if another battery might get affected the same way. I have one Sony battery and 2 Watson and 2 Neewer batteries as well. Caveat emptor.

Don’t waste your time buying a knock off brand. This is a perfectly working OEM Sony battery. Charged to 100% and held its charge for over a week without use. At $16 compare to $60 for a new one, I don’t know how anyone could pass this offer. I will definitely buy another if I ever need more batteries.

Excellent value!
I'm a photojournalist doing adventure/travel features. As such, I'm frequently out in the boonies rushing between locations. I use a Sony NEX-7 as a backup to my full frame DSLRs and as my main video blogging camera. I, or an assistant, will probably be using the NEX-7 in live-view mode. We do a lot of shooting and live-view really eats up the batteries. I love this charger because we can use it in a hotel (regular 110v) or in the Jeep using the 12v cigarette lighter outlet. If we are moving, there is a battery in the charger. I have several batteries and each one is numbered. When #2 battery gets low, it goes to the charger and #3 goes into the camera. I haven't done a critical test, but these batteries seem to be as good as the name brand and are a fraction of the price. The specs are the same. I have no complaints, and I use the heck out of them. El Cheapo 2 position battery charger for Sony camera batteries...
Maybe this "review" process is getting out of hand. I have had this charger a week and used it one time and feel it is not time to ask me if it is durable or not. It works, I like it, and hope it's durable and if it's a good value. Who knows that after a single use? I was asked to review it twice even before I received it. Why so damned aggressive? It almost makes it look like an early review is necessary 'cause it may not last very long and a review is a hard thing to take back. Maybe the merchants should keep a new customer in a suspense file for six months and then ask for a review??? These instantaneous reviews are meaningless and take up a lot of people's time.

Longer Life and Faster Charge
I have tried many different brands of batteries but always go back to Sony OEM batteries. I get better and longer life and faster charging with Sony Li-Ion battery. From now on, I will only use Sony brand Batteries.

Just buy the OEM battery already!
I bought a used Sony a6000 and found the battery life awfully mediocre. After seeing teardowns of Vivitar batteries with fake capacities, I bit the bullet and bought the genuine article. I'm very satisfied, my battery life is twice as long as before and I don't have to worry about any explosions.
