Great case to repurpose laptop drives.
Love being able to see the actual drive. Great case if you have any old laptops that use SATA drives that you can use as a pocket drive, media drive for a Smart TV or access files from a laptop that stopped working but the drive still works or to test drives to see if they still work.

A bit tricky to get apart and get the drive in but after that it is smooth sailing
SSD fits right in seemed a bit hard to open and seemed a bit hard to get the drive into place but after that it works perfect .Pretty fast also almost as fast as going sata inside the computer with usb3 I have put around 650 GB on it with no problems .A blue led tells you it has power and flickers with data transfer. Pretty simple just plug it into USB3 or will work on USB2 but slower as expected .Nice has a special cable but only uses 1 USB port . makes a great jump drive .

works great, plug and play. only issue was figuring out how to open the case at first. it wasn't obvious that the lid slid off. I assumed it was hinged or snapped on. a little sticker or something that indicates that it slides off would be helpful.

Good alternative to Orico's version.
This is a good Chinese clone of the Orico enclosure of the same look. Except for the plastic used is more fragile to break. Requiring more care installing and removing the case covers. With note: Some filter caps on Orico are not present on this clone. Spinning HDD that use power would benefit having those filter caps. Overall I am satisfied with price and performance. They used the JMicron Sata/USB3 bridge chip used by Orico's version.
