I was 19 when I moved to Japan to pursue UC graduate work in Bhuddism. I lived at Ditokuji in Kyoto. Of course I had to shop in Tokyo at the Dimaru department store. I've been using this same product since 1976, when I was just 17!!! (That's 43 years!) It gives an absolutely stunning shine without the need of nail polish. My nails are on the thin side, so I skip the part where you use the provided files to smooth off the top/flat part of the nail surface, and I STILL get perfect results! You only need the most teenie tiniest amounts to get the most fabulous results, so don't overload the buffers with product. The excess will just fall off when you start to buff. Even used weekly, one kit lasts me about 2 years. At the $40 price, divided by 104 weeks (2 years) that works out to $0.38 cents per week!!
