My Dad's Favorite Watch
We bought this watch for my father. It is VERY challenging to set this watch! Even the jewelry store had to resort to the instruction book which is rather thick and intimidating. This is why it only gets 4 stars. My dad loves his old Casio like this, and we are hoping this will replace the one he simply wore out over a decade of use. The watch has to be resized to fit Daddy's arm, but the size suggests it would fit most people -- even those with large wrists. Once sized, I'm sure it will be as comfortable as the old watch. The buttons on the watch seem to be a little fragile. I bought this same watch a few months ago and let Daddy try to set it. When we took it to the jewelry store for help, they said the buttons had broken. I'm not sure what my father did, but it was obviously too harsh for the buttons which is surprising because I think he only pushed on them. He may have used a pen or other item to pinpoint a specific button because they are VERY small, but I can't imagine what he would have done to break a button. This is another reason the watch gets four stars. Overall, though, once set, if this watch is anything like my dad's old watch, it will be fabulous. Takes me back to middle school!
Metal, but lightweight band differs from the plastic strap I had long ago (over 40 years)! The screen is bigger on this model which is great for my middle aged eyes. Set up was not the rocket science I thought it would be. Had it up and running in about 10 minutes. Very happy with my purchase.
