By the end of the 19th century, Guerlain, a French cosmetic company, began to manufacture lipstick. The first commercial lipstick had been invented in 1884, by perfumers in Paris, France. In 1884 French Perfume Company Guerlain was the first to manufacture lipstick commercially. It was an original invention consisting of a stick housed in its own tube. Their lipsticks were fashioned out of deer tallow, beeswax and castor oil. Lipstick's colourful history goes back to Queen Schub-ad of ancient Ur (one of the four ancient civilisations of Mesopotamia), Circa 3,500 B.C., this queen used lip colorant made with a base of white lead and crushed red gems. It was a real killer. I would give this Kiss Kiss five stars but I think they use some animal product in it.
