Does The Job
I have wifi, but it does not reach into one particular bedroom. I do have an ethernet cable there from a prior, wired connection. With this adapter I am able to get on the Internet and do most tasks that I wish. The signal I get there, however is weaker than in the living room, which is closer to the router. The drivers/unit installed easily to Windows 10 Home Edition. You must re-set your modem FIRST, Windows will identify it as unknown. Once it installs, restart your computer. Then you must install the driver. Once the driver has installed, restart the computer again and you should have a notification that internet is available and the computer is identifying it. Once it picks up on it, you'll have internet. I'm using a Belkin N300 wireless router and it's OK, but that's all. If the Belkin fails, I would be without a way to connect to the internet but this unit takes care of that. It works, it's inexpensive, and I am glad I bought it.

Finally got it to work on my laptop but never did on my wife's and we bought it for her at work. A mini-disc came with it but had no instructions and no exc files on the disc.
