Will Not Properly Run Dual-Channel
Bought this RAM for a build I was doing and when I put it in and powered on the laptop the effective speed of both sticks was 1333, they will not clock down to 1083 each and run 2166MHz as you’d expect in a true dual-channel setup. Looks like the issue is in their clock speeds half of which appear to be the same, when asked about it they insisted that dual-channel doesn’t increase the effective speed and that no RAM would ever do that, which is not true, as I’ve built quite a few laptops to that spec. When you put one stick in, it runs at 1333 effective. When you put the second in, both clock down to 667 (not 1086) effective to deliver 1333 TOTAL, which has not been the case with any OEM RAM I’ve used. This is a flaw with their clock speeds not being properly configured. Because of this, I don’t recommend this RAM to anyone. Find your OEM sticks and use those, they will run faster and be far less expensive.

Installed in a Dell Latitude E6420 that only had 4GB of memory.
