    Oldie but besty

    Out of production now--a pity. The amber monotone backlighting gives clear, easily read information unlike the rainbow complications now on the market. Still available used and occasionally with boat-speed reading sonar transducer. Thru-hull and transom-mount models both around. Heavy, sturdy, attractive piece of gear selectively reads water temps, fish present (or not), depth, bottom hard or soft, forward and lateral bottom slopes.
