very good for certain uses. item came with normally closed contacts; to change, simply turn float over. no doubt has reed switches in the tube, triggered by magnets in the floats. these are very light duty so a relay would be necessary for heavy loads such as a sump pump. a dpst relay will allow "hold in" contacts to use for level control. see google image for circuit. ed c
