One bad design issue
I needed a chair like this and did a lot of research. The price and size of this one were exactly what I was looking for. Several reviews on other sites said that, after a short period of use, the arms would no longer stay locked in position. I gambled that this would not turn out to be a problem for me for two reasons: 1) I am less than half the rated weight of the chair, 2) I do not need to lock/unlock the arms to slide to/from a wheelchair, bed, etc. However, after a few weeks of use, the right arm started to fall down by itself whenever I sat down. I cannot find a better option, so I am presently stuck with it. I am researching some method to permanently (or at least more rigidly) attach the arms to the chair so they cannot fall down. I do need the arms for support when sitting down and standing up, so I cannot let them just hang down unlocked. Otherwise, the chair is study and comfortable for me to use.
