Arms can twist slightly, so tip alignment isn't dead-on for grabbing fine splinters. Edge of the tips is not very precisely ground, with some minor misalignment and rounding of the edge. Grip surface is grooves not ridges like I had hoped for, and surface finish is a glossy hard coating which makes these no better than plain finished tweezers.
