if you need it
As stated this is an Italian threaded bottom bracket, this will NOT work on a frame that have English treading. the only difference between this and the english threaded version is the sleeves that fit over the bearing unit, remember the spindle has a square taper so make sure it is compatible with the crank set you want to use.
